Zollfreilager is an online magazine of the cultural journalism platform of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK) and has been public since 7 July 2014. The magazine uses journalistic, reflective and artistic-experimental formats to highlight issues and phenomena relating to culture, art and migration. Contributors include students and lecturers from the ZHDK’s Master’s programme in Cultural Journalism as well as a network of correspondents, accomplices and accomplices from all continents and disciplines.
I developed the magazine’s new website in collaboration with Atlas Studio. The content of the almost 10-year-old website was migrated into a new structure, rethought, optimised and the format of the special editions was supplemented with a variable cover. Various search and filter functions have been added to the comprehensive database, making the content more accessible. Authors also have different text and image formats at their disposal to choose the right container for each piece of content.
