Originally trained as a classical flutist, Regula Küffer is one of the few flutists today who can move naturally between classical music, jazz, flamenco and pop. She exposes the usual divisions between genres as contrived, igniting a joy of musical discovery and a pronounced love of improvisation at supposed boundaries.
I developed Regula’s new website in collaboration with the Bernese graphic design duo Kornhaus Atelier. In particular, the realisation of the creative coding area allowed a lot of freedom and experimentation. The geometric elements are regenerated each time the page is called up and react to drag and drop with gravity, momentum and collisions thanks to an underlying physics engine. In terms of content, the WordPress site provides the basis for presenting her extensive work in text and image form, creating agenda entries and presenting current projects.
