When Rob Lewis discovered a photo of a family portrait lying on the floor of the moon, he quickly realised that he had to pursue this story. The photo was taken on 24 April 1972 by the then 36-year-old astronaut Charlie ‘Gee Whiz’ Duke, the tenth man to walk on the moon. LUNAR TRIBUTE is the story of this photo and Charlie’s journey to the moon and back.
The film premieres at the Natural History Museum in New York on 20 October and so I helped Rob Lewis, in collaboration with graphic designers Andreas Räber and Christian Calabro, to develop a landing page that simulates the weightlessness of the moon, tells the story behind the film and provides making-off and press material.
