Jazz Unleashed is a unique event: organisers from Bern organise themselves collectively and get people excited about improvised music together. Unusual venues lure their audiences out of their comfort zone with ‘The Cuckoo Concerts’. Controversial expectations, demands and passion mingle. In short: an enrichment of city life. Genre fluidity. New impulses. Connections.
In collaboration with the Bernese graphic designer Katharina Reidy, I developed the website for the small festival. Based on the P5JS script developed by Ksawery Komputery, the images of the musicians become an interactive experience and soundscapes by artist Philipp Moll also accompany mouseover effects. Based on WordPress, the festival can manage the content independently.
